The Russian Zoom project for schoolchildren will be supplemented with a digital library with all the materials required for learning any school subject.

Access to the library will be free for all students. Furthermore, Mail.ru Group is going to compete with existing online platforms the popularity of which has significantly increased since the pandemic began.

The digital library will collect the data on all school subjects from the 1st to the 11th grade. Also, Pavel Kuz'min, the digital transformations director, confirmed that the materials will be presented in various digital formats so that students will be able to choose from. Currently, content verification methods with AI involved are being developed.

"Now, children have to register on 5-7 platforms just to get access to all necessary educational resources. We are working on this issue and want to create a convenient unified platform for all lessons. The library will be accessed via an identification system," Pavel said.

On this platform, teachers will be able to communicate with their students and call a student online to the whiteboard. Besides, there are plans to connect a Zoom-like video conferencing service to the platform. The project is already being tested in some regions.
