More than 90% of Indian students believe that remote learning reduces the quality of education
And about 80% are sure that the online format is absolutely unsuitable for studying at a traditional university.
According to a survey by the Indian University of Management, 93.4% of respondents noticed a deterioration in education quality due to remote learning transition. The students who participated in the study also noted that their mental health was most affected by the lack of emotional support and social interaction. Additionally, 75% complained of increased fatigue levels and stress due to continually working at the computer. Another 50% of students reported that they lacked confidence in the successful development of their career due to the economic problems that the coronavirus pandemic has caused. Moreover, 12% of respondents admitted that they considered themselves more likely to commit suicide after lockdown restrictions.
