Remote learning in Turkey extended until January 22nd
Classes will be held online until the end of the semester.
Turkey's Ministry of Education has decided that distance learning has been extended until January 22nd, the end of the first semester. Additionally, for the academic year, primary school students won't be asked to sit exams. Instead, grades will be given according to the points gained during their studies. Due to the growing incidence of coronavirus infection, the country has adopted strict restrictions, including a curfew.
The Ministry of Education plans to help students who need computers to continue their studies. Thus, the Turkish Education Minister Ziya Selcuk said that soon five hundred thousand tablets are to be sent to needy families.
