Staff at Raising Cane's fast food restaurant chain will receive funding for their education

(The chain's co-founder Craig Silvey is an alumnus of this university.) Now, 35,000 Raising Cane's employees and their families will be able to take online courses from the university.

The scholarships of up to $5,250 a year have been available to restaurant employees since 2011. Now they are being extended to the University of Louisiana's online certificates, which they can use to obtain any degree. Moreover, this opportunity is also available to the employees' family members.

Raising Cane's is not the only organisation collaborating with the University of Louisiana. The university offers similar programmes to virtually any interested company. Among their students are employees of the American concrete manufacturing and distribution company Penhall and specialists from heavy industry leader Turner Industries.
