Coursera Agrees to the Use of Its Lectures by Universities
Coursera has launched a project enabling universities to freely use their lectures. Coursera believes that cutting-edge knowledge should be available anywhere in the world and any educational institution should be able to join it.
The new Coursera project is called "Coursera for Campus" and by becoming part of the company's ecosystem, a university will be able to use the lectures available on the platform. The choice of subjects is highly diverse and the course list includes about 3,600 disciplines in various areas. Knowledge is intended not only for students, as lectures provided by the resource can be used to train university teachers and other staff.
Coursera was co-founded by professors Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng in 2011. Coursera believes that one of the main challenges of modern education is the difficulty associated with the employment of teachers. Therefore, the company raised more than $ 103 million in April this year to create a job search platform.
