The courses on machine learning, data analysis, and AI (Artificial Intelligence) were of  the most interest to users.  Coursera experts explain that this as a result of a growing desire for people to acquire new technical skills because they fear losing their jobs due to automation.

Therefore, according to the online platform, more than 2 million people from around the world enrolled in AI courses in 2019.

In Russian, the most popular courses were 'Fundamentals of Python Programming,' from the HSE, 'Learn to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects' from the University of California at San Diego, as well as an 'Introduction to Machine Learning' from the HSE and the Yandex School of Data Analysis.

In the global market, the top 3 were as follows: 'Machine Learning' from Stanford University,' 'Learn to Learn' from the University of California, and 'Healthy Lifestyle Science' from Yale University.

Today, this information suggests, people aren't only interested in technology, but that are they are also striving to understand the changes in the world, and to creatively adapt to them. This confirms the popularity of such courses such as 'Learn to learn,' 'Take care of yourself,' and the 'The Basics of Finding Life's Work.'
