In the US, police arrest a student who went to school despite the quarantine
In New York, a student was arrested for violating the self-isolation regime. Despite the distance learning format having been introduced into all educational facilities, the student attended school to protest against the new rules.
The young man came to the school on one of the days reserved for remote classes when children are required to be at home. Due to him violating this rule, he was suspended for several days, and also received a formal notice from the police.
However, this did not produce the desired effect, and soon the boy returned to school again. The schoolboy broke the rules for the second time, and on the second occasion, he was arrested for trespassing and unlawfully entering an educational institution.
According to the school principal, if such violations happen repeatedly, students will be transferred to remote classes full-time.
Currently, most US schools have opted for a hybrid learning format. That decision was made due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 infections and the danger that the coronavirus poses to the health of American students. Notably, the US is one of the countries with the largest number of cases.
